The veneers we market in this section of our website are sourced from Northern Hemisphere suppliers who offer their local veneer species and are accurately named and usually exotic to Australia. Since white settlement in Australia the naming of wood species reflected the ignorance of the day of new world species. This results in eucalypts being called Tasmanian oak. An oak is a Quercus. We have several pines which are not true pines - Pinus species, Wollomi, Huon etc. Our cedar is not a true cedar and our maples are not true maples. In reality the majority of trade names for wood species in Australia are misnomers. We would love to offer retail packages of our local species. Please contact if you can help.

Backed with a strong, high-tack PSA adhesive, these sheets make it quick and convenient to veneer any clean, smooth, non-porous surface. They have an intermediate 10-mil paper layer to help minimize splitting and make them more flexible and easier to handle. You simply cut the veneer oversize with scissors or a razor knife and apply it like a giant sticker, working out any air bubbles and trimming off the excess. After 24 hours’ setting time, you can apply the finish of your choice. Best applied to glass, metal, plastic, and painted or varnished wood. Available in 12” and 24" widths (300 and 600mm), both 96" (2.4metres) long. Much easier than adhering large sheets with contact cement. Made in USA.
