The veneers we market in this section of our website are sourced from Northern Hemisphere suppliers who offer their local veneer species which are accurately named and usually exotic to Australia.
Since white settlement in Australia the naming of wood species reflected the ignorance of the day of new world species. This results in Eucalypt species being called Tasmanian oak. An oak is a Quercus. We have several pines which are not true pines - Pinus species, Wollomi, Huon etc. Our cedar is not a true cedar and our maples are not true maples. In reality the majority of popular and trade names for wood species in Australia are misnomers. We would love to offer retail packages of our local species. Please contact if you can help.

This veneer is flexible and easy to apply. It is 1/100" (0.254mm) thick and is tenderized (so it won't crack), sanded and paper backed. Ideal for covering plywood, MDF, particleboard or finishing curves.
Sold in a 24" wide by 96" (600mm x 2.25m) long sheet. Matching solid-wood edge banding is available separately. Made in Canada.
