Rooted in the simplicity of Shaker design, this tape is used to weave seats for post-and-rung chairs and stools.

The tightly woven cotton provides a resilient, comfortable seat surface that retains its flexibility in use.

Offered in a range of classic Shaker colors, two or more can be combined to create distinctive woven patterns, ranging from simple checks to bold geometric designs.

Made to our specifications, the 1" (25mm)  wide tape is supplied in a continuous 35 yard (32 metres) roll.

To estimate the amount of tape required, multiply the seat length by the seat width (in inches), then divide by nine to determine the approximate number of yards needed. For example, a 16" × 14" seat requires about 25 yards of tape.

A metric calculation is for every 300 x 300mm square area of seating you need about 3.6 linear metres of 25mm wide tape. This is the minimum to cover this area with no allowance for folding over and fastening the ends.
