Description

German Made F.D.

Triangular files with round edges for sharpening European-style saws. The round edges maintain the slightly rounded gullet between the saw's teeth and thus helps prevent cracks developing between the teeth (sharp angles crack more easily than curved transitions).

 Suggested File Selection

  • 100mm (4 inches) - 14tpi and finer
  • 130mm (5 inches) - 11 to 14 tpi
  • 150mm (6 inches) - 9 to 10 tpi
  • 180mm (7 inches) - 5 to 7 tpi

Item Code - the searchable code in our site

  • A - The overall length of the file.
  • B - The length of the toothed section of the file.
  • C - The width of a face of the file measured mid point.
  • D - The thickness of the file measured at the mid point of the file from a flat to the opposite corner.
  • Cross Section - the triangle form
  • Note: Non-Tapered T2515 has one bottom 4.5mm safe face and 2 adjoining toothed faces of 7mm - an isosceles triangle.
