Purpose made hammers for seating log saver cleats in the end grain of logs.

The rear face of the hammer may be used to assist with setting the cleats by using the cleat hammer as a positioning guide and belting the back of it with a secondary hammer to complete the seating process.

Log saver cleats such as these can remain in place while the log is broken down into boards or veneer without damage to the cutting equipment.

An added bonus is the absence of staining commonplace with metallic equivalents
