Using Tung Oil on Bee Hives, Horse Stables and Concrete The inventors of the Flow Hive recommend using Pure Tung to seal the exterior of wooden beehives because of it natural attributes - a non toxic, tough and maintainable seal for the wood.  For this and other applications such as horse stables it is recommeded to use the use the Pure Tung neat and not to use any thinners. Skarsten' Style Scraper Available This style of scraper was once made by Skarsten in the UK - haven't seen them for years and we are often asked if they are available.
