Battery driven, quartz mechanism which indicates the current time and tide position. This is the bare mechanism kit with hanger (included but not shown below), mounting hardware and hour, minute and red tide hands. It is suited to mounting in faces up to 6mm (1/4 inch) thick and requires an 8mm (7/16 inch) mounting hole.

Requires a AA battery - NOT SUPPLIED with kit.

Assembly

Slide the cushion washer onto the shaft, insert through the mechanism face and fasten with the mounting nut. A firm finger tight is sufficient.  Do not overtighten this nut.

Press fit the tide hand next taking no special care to position it at this stage.

Press fit the hour hand again taking no care to position it yet.

Attach the minute hand next taking care to align the flats in the hand mount with the flats on the shaft nose.

Adjusting

1. Using the adjustment serrated wheel on the back of the mechanism advance the minute hand to 12 o'clock.
2. Using your finger rotate the hour hand also to 12 o'clock. (Note the hour and tide hands are a friction fit whereas the minute hand is keyed to its shaft)
3. Ascertain the the time of high tide
4. Using the adjustment serrated wheel on the back of the mechanism advance the clock to the time of high tide
5. Using your finger rotate the red tide hand to 12 o'clock which is indicative of high tide.
6. Using the adjustment serrated wheel on the back of the mechanism adjust the clock to the correct time.
