STUBAI - Austrian made, finely honed, the standard #55 Series carving tool from Stubai has an internal steel ferrule to minimise splitting. In this website the Stubai Series 52 and Series 55 tools are each grouped in their STRAIGHTS, LONG BENTS and SHORT BENTS.

STUBAI - The #5508 series are STRAIGHT gouges with a #8 flute or sweep.

Note: The code explained. For a tool designated as a #550812, the 55 is the SERIES, 08 is the SWEEP (curvature) and 12 is the nominal WIDTH in mm at the tip.
