This light weight belting cloth back abrasive (aluminium oxide abrasive, resin bonded, cotton belting) has become the standard for many wood working trades, in particular turning. The cloth back is durable and can be ripped to length and width for numerous uses on powered sanders. Effectively waterproof although not claimed as so by manufacturer.
